Make sure you have the following for the set-up:
Plug the power cable into the base of the phone and then into the wall plug point
Join the handset to the base of the phone by plugging the curly cord into the socket on the base and then into the socket on the handset
Plug the LAN cable into the remaining socket available on the base of the phone (next to the power cable socket) and then into the LAN port of your WiFi router (not the modem and not the fibre box). The light on the handset of the phone will flash red.

It worked when: the configuration indicator shows "Online" and the red light stops flashing on the phone itself — this can take up to 10 minutes.
If configuration fails
Double-check your internet connection is working and you have inputted the MAC address and Serial number correctly (these can be tricky). Then send settings to phone again.
With the LAN cable still plugged in
We have given you a complimentary 30 minutes of airtime to make sure you are able to phone some of your new contacts that may not be TickeyBox numbers. Don't forget to top this up.
When dialling out to another Tickeybox they also need to have added you as a contact!

What you need to know before you finish setup
TickeyBox works over the internet (VoIP), which means it cannot call national emergency numbers like 10111 (SAPS), 10177 (ambulance/fire), or 112. These numbers are blocked at the network level and will not connect, even if added to your contacts list.
Instead, you'll set up to 3 personal Emergency Contacts — real people or services your child can reach quickly when they need help. Good choices include:
Emergency Contacts can call through even during Quiet Hours, so your child can always reach someone in a crisis.
Before you complete setup, please make sure you have:
Chosen up to 3 appropriate Emergency Contacts
Consider allocating them to the speed dial keys
Explained to your child who these contacts are and when to use them
Do not add national emergency numbers (10111, 10177, 112) as Emergency Contacts — calls to these numbers will not connect.
